ANALYSIS OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA FIVE-YEAR PLAN
To aid in deliberation around the City of Philadelphia FY2019 budget and FY2019-2023 Five-Year Plan, the Economy League has compiled analysis to situate budget discussions within the broader context of the Philadelphia economy in 2018 and examine key linkages between the Five-Year Plan and what we see as the primary drivers of growth and prosperity—education and jobs.

INDUSTRY ANALYTICS FOR THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA'S WORKFORCE STRATEGY
As the City of Philadelphia embarked on the development of its citywide workforce strategy, “Fueling Philadelphia’s Talent Engine," it turned to the Economy League for targeted research and data analysis to inform decision-making. The Economy League analyzed labor market data for seven target industry sectors, providing detailed insight into local sector dynamics and workforce opportunities that helped shape the goals and recommendations included in “Fueling Philadelphia’s Talent Engine.”

The Economy League and the World Trade Center of Greater Philadelphia are leading a coalition of partners to develop and disseminate a customized, data-driven metro export strategy.

PRE-K FOR PA
In 2014, the Economy League joined with statewide partners to launch the Pre-K for PA campaign, whose goal is to ensure that every 3- and 4-year-old in the Commonwealth has access to high-quality pre-kindergarten.

CAREER PATHWAYS: BEYOND ENTRY-LEVEL JOBS
The Economy League is partnering with the Job Opportunity Investment Network (JOIN) on a three-year project to map career pathways in targeted industry sectors. JOIN will ultimately support these pathways with training dollars.
INFRASTRUCTURE
TRANSPORTATION FUNDING IN PENNSYLVANIA
The 2013 passage of major transportation funding legislation in Pennsylvania marked a watershed moment for infrastructure in the Commonwealth. The tireless efforts of a broad statewide coalition of transportation experts and advocates, including many organizations and individuals involved in the World Class initiative, were critical to the creation of the state’s Act 89.

STANDARDIZING KINDERGARTEN READINESS ASSESSMENTS IN PA
The Economy League is part of a coalition of organizations that received a highly competitive $200,000 grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to implement a two-year campaign to standardize kindergarten readiness assessments in Pennsylvania.

SPECIAL ANALYSIS: EXPANDING OPPORTUNITY
In conjunction with the 2015 World Class Summit, the Economy League released Expanding Opportunity, an exclusive online analysis examining ways in which advancing the World Class agenda can expand opportunity across Greater Philadelphia
